Even after 48 hours from the official relase of Mac OS X 10.5.8 from Apple we are happy to announce the release of the upgrade kit Delta and Combo of the version 10.5.8.

You can install both the updates KIT on others OSx86 distros ( for example Kalyway, Leo4All, iATKOS, iPC, etc.. ) and works on  Intel/AMD SSE2/SSE3 systems.

The delta version has a size of 292 Mb, but you must have installed Mac OS X 10.5.7, while for the combo version ( 775 Mb ) you can update your system with all version of Mac OS X Leopard 10.5.

The updates allow you to keep all main patch installed with the distro ( es. AppleHDA.kext, AppleSMBIOS.kext, AppleACPIPlatform.kext, IONetWorkingFamily.kext etc.. ) and you can find  the original files instead in Kext Disabled.

After upgraded, you can use iDeneb.Tool.v10.5.8.mpkg for install all patches, original files and others utility.

You can downoad the updates from Download Area of site.

Well Well well iDeneb. THE UPDATE KIT WORKED A TREAT! Installed the original update without any patches. Re Installed my kexts, still wasn't right took ages to boot up. Used your programs and everything went without a hitch. Using 9.8.0 darwin kernal with chameleon pcefi v10 bootloader. Thanks again. Keep up the good work.

I installed delta update and everything still works great! I had to reinstall the battery bundle, i mean i backed up the previous powermanagement.bundle and repair permissions.

I still use my voodoo controller... about the kernel i was using voodoo 9.5.0, but with the update, now is vanilla 9.8.0 and i'm lovin' it!

Is not necessary to reinstall the seatbelt.kext

I also updated my bootloader, from chamaleon 2rc1 to 2rc2, using the package included.

Upgrade Fallita

Durante la fase di aggiornamento il mio Acer Aspire 1500 si è spento a causa di un calo di tensione elettrica.
Da quel momento in poi non riesco più ad avviare il notebook.
Qualcuno saprebbe consigliarmi come riavviare il portatile? (ho provato con -v cpus=1 -x ma niente da fare. Una volta caricati i kext di avvio il PC va in reboot!!!
Diamine. re-installare tutto significherebbe per me un mese di lavoro a sistemare i kext per la scheda grafica, audio e la ethernet che non vuole saperne di funzionare.

Un aiutino? Please? Grazie.

Hello iDeneb,
Great news! Do you have ny ideas how I can save my installation that I upgraded from 10.5.7 -> 10.5.8 from Apple only to find out that my sound was gone as well as the Time Machine stopped.

Any better ideas other than reinstall?

i install 10.5.6 and them update to 10.5.7 afte that it update to
10.5.8 all working o.k expert my marvall yokon ethernet port it lost it.
my wireless is working good , n wireless, but need the port working to
so can someone help me get the driver for my asus rampage extreme x48 motherboard. or to pitch it to make it work again...

After upgrade 15.1 -> 1.6 only old voodoo works.

Before I used AnV. 970 worked too.
Now for theese kernels boot proccess stops after something like:

Using "iDeneb.Tool.v10.5.8.mpkg" to update ideneb v1.5.1 10.5.7 to 10.5.8 seems to be incomplete.

I have only called/run this package; no kext before. Everythink seems to be fine, but in "About this Mac" the version is still 10.5.7.
What's wrong?

Innanzitutto i complimenti di vero cuore a tutto il team per il bel lavoro svolto finora, finalmente grazie a voi e dopo un mese di vita da eremita per installare leopard sul mio notebook ci sono riuscito, ma ci sono dei problemi con la scheda video (nvidiageforce 8400m gt gpu 256mb fino a 1024mb in ypermemory)
e con la scheda ethernet (fast ethernet pci-e marvell yukon 88e8036) con la wifi (wireless wifi link 4965 agn)802.11a/b/g/n con la webcam (ricoh motion eye)e con la ricoh multimedia card reader 5 in 1 .

il tutto montato su un sony vaio vgn-fz38m
cpu intel core 2 duo t 8100 enhanced intel speedstep technology 2.10 ghz
memory 4 gb/go ddr2 sdram

be mi spiace non sò altro ma se qualcuno saprebbe come aiutarmi a risolvere alcuni di questi problemi gliene sarei davvero grato.

well. this works just perfectly (with a few extra kexts in my case), except for one thing: when i wake up from sleep it wakes up with a blank display. tried just about anyhting google would throw at me, and ive just about given up. was the same with the ideneb 1.4 install aswell. but hey, its as good as it gets! ^^

I mainly have two problems: In the menu bar the Volume symbol is defective, it is only shown as empty space. I can restore it by changing the binary in CoreServices/SystemUIServer, but after some reboots it is gone again. The same happens with the Activity Monitor. I made a rather big upgrade from 10.5.3 to 10.5.8. I tested ANV and Qoops 9.8.0 kernel. System is nForce 4, AMD Opteron Dual-Core.
